Today’s BBR trumpet hero is Clifford Brown. Most often mentioned after his name is he died at 25 in a car accident but if you can forget that and just concentrate on his recordings you will hear him as the bridge from Armstrong to Miles to Morgan to modern trumpet, humbly exemplified by The Co-Op‘s own Jeremy Pelt. We miss you Brownie.
