William Henry “Chick” Webb is today’s BBR drummer week entrant. Chick was a hunchback who had tuberculosis as a kid and a doctor recommended he take up drums as a way to loosen his bones. Oh did he ever. No less a drummer than Buddy Rich called him “the daddy of them all”. We don’t have words to do Chick justice so just watch the video below.
