Sure NFL football has devolved – as have most professional sports and for that matter life – into a glorification of money and success. But old habits die hard and for those of us inculcated with loyalty to “Our” teams, the sport is like a religion whose liturgy is incredible but you keep going to worship anyway. Here’s a picture of Andrew Headen, one of our favorite underrated Giants – he was a cog in a Super Bowl team and won a National Championship at Clemson.

This is Johnny Griffin, one of the most under-the-radar all-time greats. He was called the “little giant” because he was short but height has nothing to do with great musical ability.
Sunday a.m.
This is Michael Anderson. He has done the visual art for our first two releases. He mainly uses old street posters or handbills and combines them to make beautiful collages. Please seek him out online under his alias chumaconegro.

The Hollywood Bowl was the site of a Brown Brothers field trip last summer to see wonderful performances by Sufjan Stevens and Kurt Vile. It is also one of the best acoustically designed venues of its size-indoor or outdoor. It’s also beautiful. Finally, it may be the subject of some big news soon. Stay tuned.

This is a photo of 242 east third street in Manhattan, NYC. It was the site of Slug’s Saloon, which holds an important place in one of the Brown Brothers’ jazz and history loving heart for the significant role it played in the lives of Sun Ra and Lee Morgan.
