BBR piano week stretches into week 2 with Armando Anthony “Chick” Corea. Born near Boston to Spanish and Italian parents, Chick studied at Julliard and Columbia in NY. His first professional group was with trumpeter Blue Mitchell and Latin players like Mongo Santamaria. From there he changed jazz forever as a member of Miles’ fusion groups. He started his own fusion outfit called Return to Forever which still performs for adoring crowds today. Congrats Chick on being todays BBR star of piano week.
